Oil pressure

Well no oil pressure could mean a number of things, maybe the gauge is bad, but if its knocking chances are there is no oil pressure. I am assuming you have checked the oil level. It could be the oil pump screen is clogged or the pump itself is bad. Sometimes there is so much sludge build up it will seem like a failed oil pump but that depends on how often the oil was changed. You could probably have a dealer or local garage to check the oil pressure with an external gauge. I would suggest you not run the engine until its time to test the pressure, which you can do by just cranking the engine, not starting it.
