2004 F150 FFV conversion

I can't believe this hasn't been discussed, but I can't seem to find the thread. Is it possible to turn a 2004 F150 non-FFV truck into an FFV? What is the cost?

Google "E85 Conversion" and spend a couple of minutes researching....

Thumbs down

Why would you want to spend all that money on a conversion that gets you fewer miles per gallon and isn't readily available anywhere aruond the saint louis area yet. I'm not sure if there are stations in and around where you live, but I'm not looking to do it to my 04 F-150. Also who knows what kind of performance issues you will have running E85 over a long period of time.

Not enough info on it yet and I wouldn't do it, but hey its your truck. Let us know how it goes if you go ahead and do it.

You are correct that it woul have to be inexpensive to do to make it worth. E85 was 30 cents cheaper at the gas I filled up at this AM.

Considering the relative energy content of each fuel, that isn't an adequate price spread.

Again, this has been beaten to death as of late. No, it's not readily possible to convert a gasoline burning engine to run off ethanol. Will it run off E85? Yes. It'll also slam the O2s full lean and turn the check engine light on.
