weight of 04-07 F150

does anybody know what the weight is for a 5.4 04-06 reg cab f150. i am thinkin of gettin rid of the supercrew because of gas, from what ive heard the new ones are a little better and i would be getting a whole lot light truck, i was even thinkin of getting out of the 4wd thing becasue i didnt use it once, and making the newer body style fast because they have 40 more horsepower.

I have no idea what the newer trucks weigh, however, I have a hard time believing that upgrading to a new truck for fuel savings alone would be worthwhile. In reality, it is probably a very poor financial decision.

Now that being said, if you have other reasons to upgrade, then go for it! Apparently the new style trucks were heavier than the old ones so you may not actually be saving that much when you figure everything out. I doubt your mileage is going to be much different . . . maybe 1-2 MPG? Just a complete guess. It may even be worse depending on the package differences.

^ i dont think thats right.. thats the GVWR

My truck weights 6400lbs with my lift and 35" tires. That includes a half tank of gas, me in the truck and my stereo.

I also have a 4x4 supercrew with the 5.4L motor.

So i guess that a 2WD regular cab would weight in around 5000lbs

The new F150s are heavier than the old F150s, by several hundred pounds (of course this depends on the individual configurations and options).
