HyperTech Pwr Programmer

Has anyone used the Hypertech power programmer III? Just wondering if it would be worth the buy or not. I am looking to improve my fuel economy, I'm only getting 11-12 mpg on hwy and for the record I am not a lead foot I drive like an old man. The Ford dealership is saying that the fuel economy will improve as the vehicle gets up in mileage this was back I had 1,500 miles on it. Right now I am at 5,000 miles and still no change in mileage. What do you guys think is going on?
Thank you for your time, and have a great day.

I highly doubt it will increase gas mileage yet i wont say that it def wont since i dont own one. i have heard mixed reviews on hypertech. I personally own a super chips tuner which has 87 tune 91 performance and towing performance modes. i actually can feel the difference and it also changes your shift points which i believe is alot better set up then the factorys. troyer (website sponsor) has them for your truck as well as doing custom tunes speciafically for your truck. You may even want to look in to ebay thats where i found my superchips for 230 shipped... make sure the description says that it is not VIN LOCKED ( this means someone has the program running in their truck and it can not be used in more then one vehical so you sol if u buy)

I saw it last night in the summitt catalog, 369.99 for the HIII programmer. For that price, there are better alternatives, like custom tuning for very near the same price.

I got my hypertech hiii on ebay for around $200. guy put his truck back to stock before he sold it then sold the programmer. they can only be used on another vehicle if the vehicle they were used on is converted back to stock so be careful of this should u find one. i found it easy to use and did notice a difference in my truck. As far as a mileage increase i am not sure because i used mine right after i had gears changed to 4.56's from 3.31's that were in it cause of my 35" tires. On highway i get around 14-16mpg depending on how heavy footed i am

I have one and it is not worth the money. Spend your money on an Xcal 2 and get some tunes for gas milage, towing and performance. The hypertech does not do half the stuff it says .

I have a 2005 SCAB 5.4 and the Hypertech Power Programmer III works the Sh*t for mine. I just went from the recommended download and upped the Shifting frimness, as well as dropped the first to second Rev down to -300 and it shows serious power difference off the line! I came out of a corner and kicked out the rear end! Just the lower power I was looking for!
