What size socket for O2 sensors
It helps if you go to AutoZone or some store like that and rent the O2 sensor sockets...they have a slot in the side so the socket slides over the cables.
But in any case, I believe its a 7/8" or 13/16"...I forget which one.

7/8 = .875 in = 22.2 mm, 22 mm may be the right size but 7/8 has worked fine for me in the past

Nine times out of ten a standard size wrench/socket will fit on a metric bolt and vice versa. It is that 10th time that gets you.
I must confess that I have been in situations that have seen me use a standard tool on a metric fastener but I leave that up to the individual to decide. That is why I strive to provide the most accurate information that I can.

Make the O2 Replacement Easy
make life easy
remove the inner fender wells- about 6 screws and 5 minutes
disconnect the wire harness
use a 22mm or 7/8 box
no need for a special tool plus disconnecting the harness becomes much easier

For future, I got an O2 sensor flex head wrench, that is like a 2 sided open end 22mm wrench.

Worked great, but now that I read the remove the inner fender wall trick, I might not need it any more.

somedays life ain't fair
engineering is said to be a science of compromises
go fast- give up mileage/get good mileage -go slow
have headers and go fast(maybe)/ starter removal goes slow
