Im in the Market for a new truck, Ive never been a Ford fan but Im likeing what I see, I havent test drove any yet, but soon I will.
Im woundering what kind of Power these V8's Have? The truck I will most likely get will be a 4x4 ext cab. Right now I have a 2001 GMC Siera 4x4 with the 5.3, it has decent power.

Mine has decent power. I'll try to put it into perspective....

It will hang with a V6 mustang. It outran a 97' Vortec that had a chip. It got beat by a 7.3 powerstroke but I had 1,000lbs of seed in the back, and he had a chip. It will pull a tandem peanut wagon about 65-68 mph, give or take.(Maxed out) It will go a little over 100mph, but it doesn't have a chip, so.... It will pull a 4 Horse gooseneck stock trailer 85 mph. (out of overdrive). Mine is a 97' 2wd with the 5.4 V8 and I have 162,000 miles on it. Since 1997 then the rated engine horsepower for the 5.4 has gone from 235 to 300,(I think) so a new one might do better.
