Flowmaster vs Borla ????

I am about to have a true dual exhaust system ran on my truck and wanted some input on which mufflers would be best. I am not going to run echo chambers. Going to cut off the pipes up under the bed about where the back bumper and bed meet. I want them hidden. Anyway, the place I'm going offers Flowmaster and Borla. The guy said the Borla was a little bit quieter than the Flowmaster. Since I'm not going with echo chambers I'm wondering if the Borla would be too quite. Not sure what type of Borla muffler he offers but know that the Flowmaster is a 40 series. All input is greatly appreciated.

Whichever one you get, get a dual out muffler. I have a flowmaster SI/SO, with a turn down, and its not really all *that* loud. I have a friend with a '02 screw 5.4l with dual out with turn downs (I forget what brand muffler...) and its considerably louder. Guy I used to work with had dual turn downs on his old chevy and it was louder as well.

Thanks for the input. I'll go ahead and throw this one over in the exhaust forum.

Borla! I love mine, would never put anything else on a vehicle I own. IMO borla is the best.

A guy i know just installed a BANKS on his truck. Sounds awesome! It's not too loud, but gives it that super charger sound.

But anyways, I've seen both on my friends trucks and the Borla seems to be more durable than the flowmaster.

The guy at the shop said he even went with the Borla exhaust. I am leaning towards that.
