Possible oil leak

I have a 2005 with a 5.4, and on the bottom of the bell housing there is a rubber plug where trans meets the engine. There is a small amount of oil (I think it is oil) dripping out. I'm trying to find out if this is going to be a big deal to fix. I hate taking it to the dealership, because it always seem to take several days to fix anything. Any thoughts on where it could be coming from. The fluid is so covered with dirt that I can't tell if it is trans fluid or oil.

Could be oil from the rear-main seal or from the input shaft seal on your tranny. I would clean it up and check it later to see if it is still leaking. If so, take it to the dealer.
