Question AC always on...

I've got an issue with my 97 F150 (4.6) that I haven't had any luck searching for. It seems my AC is coming on when the panel or panel and floor is switched on. The air coming out is very cold and I can hear the clicking when the AC cycles on and off. It does work as expected on AC and Max AC. Anyone got any ideas? I figure its going to have to go to a shop, but I was hoping for a heads up before I take it to the dealer$hip.

Thanks!

Neil

What happens when you turn the temperature up to heat?

When you have it on panel and floor it runs the A/C. I don't think that the A/C runs when it is on panel or floor.

If I turn it up to heat, hot air blows, but you can still tell that the AC is running as the AC is still cycling.

The AC shouldn't run (as far as I know) when panel and floor is on, but it is. Although its probably something that I can't fix, I would like to hear of what it might be so that I can go prepared to the dealership. How does it go, knowledge is power .
