Will 4.6 2v head work on 5.4 2v engine

 

Yes they will, 4.6 and 5.4 heads are the same and all PI heads have the same cams. The only thing to look for is some 4.6 heads are from the Romeo engine plant and some 4.6 and all 5.4 are from the Windsor plant, Romeo heads have a different number of valve cover bolts and require the appropriate valve covers. I don't think there's any other functional difference but maybe someone will chime in to either back that up or dispute it... Thinking of getting ported heads?

 

Mustang heads will bolt on but use 8mm bolts to hold the front cover on. Truck heads use 10mm bolts.
