indy to atl and back
indy to atl and back
have an 03 Scab 4x4 5.4
heres the story:
younger brother went on spring break, he has a 97 eclipse gst, ran fine on the way down, no problems whatsoever, but on the way back, they left daytona, stopped for gas about 45 minutes south of atlanta, poof! car wont start, asked people for about 2 hours at the gas staion if they new anything about the car so they could help, no one helped, he's broke, its late saturday afternoon, all shops are closed, so what happens?
i drive to town, pick up a car transporter from uhaul, and over night my *** down to atl. left from lafayette, indiana(hour north of indy), drove thru the smokey's and managed 13.7 mpg empty trailor and thru the mountains, not bad at all. and on the way back, car loaded on trailor, we bypassed mountains, took a slightly longer way home but avoided mountains because that would have sucked hauling a car, but this whole topic i guess you could say is how pleased i am of the ability for just an f150 hauling 4,000lbs+ and still managing an average of 12 mpg, just thought i'd share my weekend
