Running Lean

This has come up before, but I have pulled a code that is telling me "system running lean".

From reading similar threads I might be thinking it has something to do with the EGR valve, but im not familiar with it. How do I resolve this?
Also, could someone tell me about the most common reasons this will trip a code, and how do I reset the codes to see if it does it again?

Thanks, Joe.

Don't bother at this time.

SEACH for "LEAN" or "PCV elbow" or "P0171 P0174" instead.

Just what ProjectSHO89 said. You will find some possible causes for the P0171/P0174 code here. It also helps if you post the "Actual" code that you are getting as to leave no doubt to what "system running lean" means.
