Arrow Spark Plugs

Someone told me that he put Bosch Platinum 4's on his Supercrew and gave him a nice jump on gas mileage...before I take the time and trouble changing these things out what do you guys think??

He's full of poo.......

I've got the +4's and I can't say that they gave me "a nice jump on gas mileage". I replaced the OEM plugs out with them @ 63,000 miles. The OEM's looked ok, but the gaps were way off (too big).

Of course, if the original plugs were crappy and causing the poor mileage to begin with, then putting in 'any' new plugs would have given "a nice jump on gas mileage".....

I've now got 156,000 miles on the truck and still running the +4's and still getting the same mpg that I've always gotten. No difference from brand new to having some 93,000 miles on them....

Change 'em to the +4's if that's what you want to do, but don't do it because of claims of better mpg's......

I would replace my spark plugs with what ford recommends. Wouldn't ford put those in the truck from the factory, if they showed any gas mileage gains?

I used Bosch Platinums and they got charred pretty fast. Altough I have read that some people have had good experiences. I cant see how they would give better mpg's vs other similar plugs but, In the end its one of those "whatever works" kind of situation. It doesn't hurt or cost that much to try them out.
