Hey guys I have an old 85 ford truck with the old 302 engine fuel injected I bought a 94 ford 302ho truck engine firing order 13726548 I was told this will work in my truck will no problems just use the newer firing order because the injectors fire at once on the old truck but the swap would not work the other way the new truck injectors fires one at a time is this true I am going to use all the older injecton stuff Thanks all Jason

if your swapping the long block and putting everything else back on it there should be no problem unless the cam has to be changed for the other firing order

I swapped out a '93 block for a '96 block the firing order was different and I used the '93 harness and top end. It has a miss and sucks gas like it's water so I think you may need to use the ecu for the newer block. That is the only thing I haven't tried yet. Let me know how your swap turns out

 

The info you received was correct. You will need to change the firing order, but that's it. You may get better gas mileage with a '94 ECM, but the difference would be minimal.
