need help

Ok I am new to the F-150 domain. I just bought a used 2001 F-150 4.2, V6 automatic. Now I am happy with it no complaints what so ever, but.... I am the type of person that likes to modify and upgrade. i want to add a little bit of speed but i dont kn ow what to do. I am not looking to run 9 sec quarter miles just a little speed when i need it. I mean it is a truck right Any help would be appreciated. I am also on a limited budget. so far all i have done is put a K&N air filter everything else is stock I appreciate any help and thank you in advance

Welcome! You can weed through the ideas in the "V-6 Engine" area of the board. I'm a big fan of changing the rear end ratio to something quicker. Saving weight and top-notch maintenance should also be considered.
