CE light Emission control leak?

CE light Emission control leak?

Hey

I just changed motors in my 98 4.6 f150 and it was running good and strong for about 50 miles then i got a check engine light and i checked the code it said that i have a large emission control leak.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Also make sure you hooked up all the vacuum lines that go to the canister purge valve and from the valve to the fuel tank and that no lines were damaged or are leaking.

The purge valve is located on the firewall near the brake booster. Look for the green cap.

gas caps are usually small evap leak codes.


recheck all your vacuum connections
