Small oil leak

While installing my Westin Bull Bar tonight, I found a small oil leak towared the back of my engine block, and on to the transmission housing. I am sure that it is oil though, not tranny fluid. The truck is an 2001 4.6L Supercrew 4x4. I installed a K&N Generation 2 air intake onto my truck Friday, and forgot to hook the PVC valve back up. I had got to smelling a little oil smell Sunday so I opened the hood and saw the PVC disconnected. My question is, will this cause the motor to leak at all? Oh, and by small leak, I mean it isn't even leaking onto the cement, but I checked my oil level, and was about half way in between min & max. I had the oil changed two weeks ago and I know 6 quarts was put in, is this correct? Any suggestions?

wash it and recheck it.
If it does come back you may have the infamous head leak.
do a search here and you'll see what to check.
don't get too excited until you verify its leaking though.

Oh and welcome to the site

The dipsticks on these trucks arent exactly the most accurate. Right after you put in 6 qts, see where it is on the dipstick and that is your "full".
