cold air intake

cold air intake

last july i bought an '05 f150 with the triton in it. now it tax return season and im looking to make a few additions to it. however, if i get new intake system for it, will it void the manufacturer's warranty or not?

Your asking to open the founding fathers "can-o-worms" here.
Although I understand your point -You got a nice truck.
Before you get the F150 hair, please realize that your playing with upgrades that could blow your motor if you don't know what your doing.

My advice would be to do a "search" on this forum.
Anthing you want to know, AND DO NOT WANT TO NOT KNOW, about CAI has been bitch-slapped over 1,000,000 times up here.

Sorry if it's crude, but this aint Yahoo.

Cold air setups on the '04+ F150 have been beaten to death, buried, dug back up, beaten some more, buried again, dug back up...you get the idea.

Legally, unless the modifications caused the failure in question, no, your warranty can't be denied. However, that usually depends on the stance of your dealer. Some of them are more generous in repairing stuff under warranty than others.
