5.4L Throttle Delay Issue...

My 2000 F150 has a 1/2 second delay from the time I accelerate and the time it speeds up. I changed the throttle body and TPS and cleaned the throttle opening but the delay still exists. When I floor the accelerator, I hear a whoosing sound of air with the 1/2 second delay and then the speed increases. It seems to be most bothersome when trying to pass someone.

Please indicate what else I should look for.

Thanks

Jeff
