can i do this

My 89 150 has dual tanks on it and i was wondering if i could take off the selector valve and just put the lines together. I dont use the rear tank because it has a hole in it and its not worth it to me to replace it.

If i can do this how do i find out which line comming out of the valve is the supply and which is the return.

If I had the 2nd tank i would definitly fix it... I would check a local junk yard for a replacement.

Got an air hose??? Back blow from the valve.

You should be able to figure out what lines go back to the tanks.

Have a friend listen to the tank if you can't hear it. You should have a feed and a return to both tanks if I remember right. You may want to do one at a time to keep them straight.

Good luck!

Not to offend,

But if your not using the second tank? why do you need to disconnect it??

Just leave it alone?

What are you hoping to gain by disconnecting the fuel lines?
