fan rotation

Are the radiator fans on the 97 5.4s standard or reverse rotation? And would this be clockwise or counterclock wise?

It's eaey to tell the direction of rotation by looking at the pitch angle of the blades for pulling air through the radiator.

I know that facing the engine from the front of the truck that the fan turns to the left in a counterclock wise motion, but I was wondering if this would be a standard rotation or reverse and I didnt know if they are looking at the back of the engine looking forward when they talk about a fan being clock or counter.

When a fan or any accessory runs of the ribs of the belt it is turning in the same direction as the crankshaft, if it runs off of the back or flat of the belt it will turn in the opposite direction of the crankshaft rotation. So the fan would turn in the opposite direction of the crankshaft. The threads on the clutch hub is standard thread righty tighty lefty loosey!!
