diff between 1993 and 1995 F150

I have a 1995 F150 4x4 with the 4.9L straight six in it. I really want to put headers on it, but everyplace i look tells me the headers were only made for trucks up to 1993. Is there that much of a difference between the 2 trucks?
If there is what is the difference?

not really any difference

the '95 has the ODB2 electronics, thats about it

why do you want to put headers on the 300?

its a waste of money if you ask me, this is a torque motor, not a performer

great motor, I had a couple, but seems like a waste of money if you want horsepower, but a 351

I drive a 95 and it is actually still the older style computer system. (I'm thinking maybe California went obd-ii that year but the rest of the country didn't)

96 is definitely obd-ii.

As far as I know, there is no difference in exhaust manifolds-- but I haven't had to do anything with the exhaust myself...

I have a '95 4.9L w/ California emissions, and it's OBDI and Speed Density, even though all the factory manuals say it should be OBDII & MAF. I am yet to see a '95 4.9L w/ OBDII & MAF.

I'm not aware of any differences between the '93 & '95 either, but honestly, the factory exhaust manifolds for those years aren't that bad. I'd spend the money on a cat back instead.

The confusion could be that the last year for the 300 in the Bronco is '93. '94/6 F150s still had the 300 available. OBDII should only be on '96s. Only other differences are that in '94 a drivers side airbag was added, and I believe the ABS was different on the '95/6s. Also the '95/6s have black hubcaps instead of red.

I do have a cat back system already. It's the Flowmaster American Thunder with dauls straight out the back. I want the headers cause i'm lookin for a little more power and a little more noise.

Well, I don't see any reason why you couldn't get a set that was designed for a '93. If you do, post your results. I'm curious to know how headers affect the '95 4.9L.
