Plug blow out advice $$$$$$$$$$$

I called Time Serts and their kit is $350.00 ouch! Is a heliocoil cheaper?

Are there any threads on doing a heliocoil vs an insert?

OUCH is defined as $,3000 + for a new head.

Consider the kit as a reasonably priced alternatve that does not require head removal in most cases, and I beleive it comes with enough inserts to do more than one plug. Conventional wisdom suggests you should remediate them all while your'e at it.

Timeserts are superior to heli's - there's a ton of posts on that as well. Don't choose the cheapest route.

As I indicated before - use the Search function!

And, do the PM on your new 3V's !!!

Good luck

Cheers

dealerships wont usually do inserts, they want to replace the entire head. Youd be looking at at least $2000 for that.
