Turbonator

Hey guys,

I have seen so many of these non-moving turbo charger things, I was just wonder if anyone actually has used one of these?? I am thinking that it won't do as its said to, but just kinda curious as to some first hand advice.

Thanks

BTW. I am not planning on getting one.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that I have bought one, but do you really think that a piece of tin can increase your hp and and save tons on gas all for only $49.99.

Do a search an you will find many threads on these products.

One thing that remains true: You can never get something for nothing. I have not tested one, and do not know anyone who has one. There's no way that I can see it working as they claim. I hace a lot of expirience building motors, and this is one thing I wouldn't waste my money on.

Ya I can't see any obstruction that u put in your intake actually helping out, especially the way they say. I laugh how they are comparing it to a turbo or a supercharger.

I bought two!

One is under the hood of my truck.
I stuck the other one down the back of my pants.

Now I can fart damn near a quarter mile,...in under 12 seconds!

Uh no, but I did catch that guy rifling thru my underwear drawer.
When I asked just what he thought he was doing he said,

"This is a National Security issue. I don't need no stinking warrant.
I'm the Terror Warrior President, got damn it!"

fine i will be nice, i am just tired of explaining this, first off there will be no gains it will actually hurt your performance, it restricts the oncoming air charge and lower the overall volocity of the air coming in, the swirling effect caused by the turbonator and the throttle body spacers does nothing on these feul injected engines, let me explain, the swirling air that is saposed to help with atomization of the fuel and air has to swirl pased the lower intake wich has a plastic peice that derects airflow to the left and right ports, so the so called swirling air gets cut in half right there, then it gets derected down the intake runners 4 on ether side so it farther gets cut down, then it has to swirl past the valves and into the combustion chamber, were fuel gets squirted by the injectors, do you really think it will still be swirling tornado effect by then, these producst are worthless and will hurt you in the performance and MPG department, all these products have been tested by consumer reports and all of them didnt work, if you do a search you will be able to find the article, hope i cleared this up

Personally, I enjoy a new Turbonator thread and look forward to them with great anticipation. It's always fun to find ways to make fun of the product.

Gas prices plus aggressive advertising ensure that these threads will always be with us.

If the Forum is giving you lemons, make lemonade.

I take offense to the above statement. I have a turbonator. It's pretty, nice and shiny, and looked good next to all of the other ornaments on my x-mas tree this year.

a had one when i owned my Toyota Tercel (actually a tornado, same thing) and it did nothing, and it did lower my mpg and not to mention it was restrictive! I unstalled and reinstalled it several times to confirm that it wasn't the car. Bigtruck is right on the money about this product and is truely worthless and pointless to buy.
