fuel pump issues

My 99 f-150 5.4 wont run. Cant hear the fuel pump prime. Where are the ground wires for the pump? It has power to the pump. Just doesnt seem to be building pressure. Brand new ford pump. Any ideas where to start?
I dont have the dreaded dashes on the odometer. So that part is ok. Fuel filter is not clogged. I even took the filter off and tried to prime the pump with key cycles. I did it about 10 times and only once did it run a little fuel out. I just think it has something to do with a ground now. It just quiut going down the road and had to get it towed. The old pump had about 75000 on it. Thats why i thought it was the pump. I was wrong.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks

Would you believe that.....
Fuse 19, a 20 amp fuse supplies the power 'thru fuel pump relay contacts' to an Inertia switch then to the fuel pump.

Fuse 24, a 30 amp fuse supplies power thru the PCM relay to operate the fuel pump relay.

The rest you have to do.
Try resetting the Inertia switch first.

I don't have a wiring diagram for that exact year, but looking at my 2001 diagram the fuel pump grounds through a circuit that finaly terminates at the drivers side of the radiator support near the top. This ground is for all the rear lights and many other circuits, it has a couple of splices in it that could be a problem. My advise would be if you have power to the pump try jumping a ground to the pump wiring and see what happens. You could have a problem at the conector or one of the splices. also remember just because the fuel pump is new it doesn't mean that it is good. New parts can fail, that is why they have a guarentee!!
