Flex Fuel engine...?
Flex Fuel engine...?
In my constant search to find my next perfect truck I came across an ad for a 2002 King Ranch F-150 with a, "Flex Fuel" 5.4. I have heard this term before but I am unsure what exactly it is. Is this an alternative fuel engine? All the HP and TQ ratings were still the same, but is it really the same thing as a "regular" 5.4?
Flex fuel means it can run on regular gasoline or E-85. Have a look at this site. it explains what it means in greater detail. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/flextech.shtml
