Installed a sunpro mechanial oil pressure gauge on my 2001 5.4 2wd Screw this weekend.

Quite a fabrication to get the gauge and factory sender connected and still be able to get the filter out.

Anyway, I read 75 psi at idle, near 100 at 4000 rpm
I'm really surprised at that pressure, 94k miles and all...

Is this high pressure inline with what this engine typically produces or do I have a bad gauge?

hot oil at 1500rpm it should be 40-70 psi
