Abs ? ? ?

So I went out and enjoyed the first snow of the season here in Oregon. I made it up to a landing and there was only about 6 inches of snow. The kids were out having a snowball fight and I spun a few cookies in a wide open area and the ABS light came on? I hadn't even applied the brakes when it came on. I shut the truck off and we all played in the snow. I started it back up after a half of an hour and the light was off. What could have caused this?

I totally agree. Happens to me out at the pasture when I get in the sand or almost get stuck.

HI!... Go to the local power washers and wash out your rims and brakes. The snow gets packed up into the brakes and prevents the ABS sensor on the front wheels from getting a reading. Happens to me all the time in the winter time when we go drifting in the snow.

Check the master cylinder, mine just did the same and whem
n going up hills it would go off.The ABS light stayed on but the red brake light would go on on down hills and off going up or accelerating. I put brakes on all around in mid summer and didnt completally fill master cylinder.
Good luck
