Question Replacement Radiator

Radiator sprung a leak a couple of days ago. I have been looking for a replacement at the local auto parts. All they can get is OE type replacement. If I have to pull this thing and put in a new one, I do not want a radiator with plastic sides.

Has anyone replaced thier radiator with an all metal one? If so, where from and how much? Also, was it just a drop in, or did you have to modify?

Any Help would be great. Thanks

I don't think your going to find an all metal replacement unless iti s custom built.
I replaced with a two row unit for higher cooling capacity and found upon research that most of the replacements are made in Canada with a universal system of construction that can meet nearly all OEM fit requirements.
I have an OEM original in perfect condition except for the trans cooler fittings I had to use for the new unit install.

Very tough, but try Summit Racing. Shop around in town and on-line for an OE style rad that comes with a life time warranty. They should last 100K in the harshest enviroment. When you reach that point and it fails, go get a free one.

Thumbs up

Couldn't find a all metal radiator, so I went with a Modine radiator from radiator.com. It has a lifetime warranty, so i'll never have to buy another one. Thanks for all your help guys!

Hey Bronco,

how has the radiator held up from radiator.com? I'm thinking of getting one for my mustang....seems too cheap to be good.
