1998 5.4L looking for mods

All,

I'm new to the forum and looking to increase power and fuel economy (13.5 mpg) on my 5.4.

Please direct me to prevoius topic or general area to start looking.

The first thing would be a good tune up. Then easy takeoffs and keep the speed under 70 mph should help with the mpg. The electric fans did more for my truck than all the other mods, so I would start there. I have mine set to come on at 103 deg C. This works great for my truck. All the mods I made to my truck help to increase the power, but the mileage stayed the same. I feel anytime you can get more power and keep the same mpg you're going great.

Have fun with your truck.

What kind of power are you looking to make? Parts for the 5.4 are anything but cheap in the grand scheme of things. Bang for the buck wise, get a good used powerdyne bd-11a supercharger and you can keep about the same MPG and increase your bottom line HP by about 60-80 ponies
