I take it you're the new e-bayer with 2-feedbacks that won the auction. When you're dealing with a certified funds transaction, things take a while. Most sellers with less than a few thousand feedbacks have real jobs and may not get back to you for a few days.
I would have avoided buying from this guy, though.
1. 90% of his feedback is from buying, not selling.
2. He recently had a problem with a buyer.
3. He will only accept certified funds. I think this stems from the problem he had with fore-mentioned buyer. His Paypal account is probably frozen.
4. He used another guy's picture for a used item. Using a "canned" picture for a new item is one thing. Using one for a used item is a little sketchy.

It's interesting what you mention of his paypal account being frozed, I hadn't thought of that.
Well, all I have to do is wait and see...

Sounds like he just buys and sells. He may not even have had the seats at the time he sold them. I guess alot of people are making a bunch of money off of E-Bay.
E-bay is capitalism at its very best...
Imagine- buy an item and then turn around and list it back on the site and make a buck. Is that not the American dream? Buy low, sell high? I have found E-bay to be an invaluable place to find deals. I look at it like a huge garage sale. I actually prefer the individual seller as opposed to the E-bay companies. I get better deals from the individuals. I've managed to upgrade my boat significantly because of the deals I've found on E-bay. $400 props for $100? Electronics for 90% off list? Odds and ends that you just can't find anywhere else. I use E-bay almost as a reference any more to find values of stuff I want to get rid of.
As stated above, business can be slow at times because the sellers may have real jobs and only look at their computer once a day. Others spend the day in front of the computer. I recently bought coils for my F150 from a seller on E-bay and waited almost 2 weeks for the parts. I bought them for spares and was not worried about the delay, plus the $15 price was too good to pass up. I have also won auctions, e-mailed the seller and had them respond immediately. PayPal and the stuff is on my doorstep in two days.
I love E-bay- over 100 deals and 100% feedback. It's a remarkable site.

Most of the time it's all in feedback. You're probably ok, the guy may really turn merchandise and is swamped in emails. I ain't been burned yet but I don't do big purchases like you did. I figure I can afford to loose $50.
Now there has been guys to sell small stuff, get a great rating, then hit folks with big items and run. That's happened a bunch and there's really no way to get them rats....

The guy worte to me on wednesday and said he had sent the seats and that they would be here by friday. Well they haven't come yet. I wrote to him and asked if there was a way I could track them, and no response yet.... I'll keep you posted... *sigh* I want my seats already!

The thing is, every one of you folks knew all this before mailing off your money to some name and address halfway across the country with no way of knowing what you might get in return. I'm amazed that eBay manages to keep the number of their 'reported' ripoffs so low.

No, no seats yet. I wrote to him a couple days back and got an answer from him today. Said some bs about fed ex not picking up his items at the shipping dock, and said that after fighting with them, the seats had been shipped on thursday.
What ticks me off is he tells me he's gonna give me a tracking number as soon as he gets one..... Shouldn't he already have one from thursday to here??? I'd think thay he should. Bottom line is, I'm gonna give it till this Saturday. Pretty mch, if seats aren't here by then, I'm gonna get in action. It's been near a month since i ordered the seats, it's ridiculous....
So from now till next week I just gotta be patient....
Thanks guys, I'll keep you updated.....
