Replace Fuel Pump

What is the best way to get to the fuel pump inside the tank?

Should I drop the tank or remove the bed? I'll be doing it in my driveway.

Thanks

Definately, drop the tank. Its not that hard, just run it down as low as possible before doing it.

Drop the tank. Pretty easy job. I replaced mine by myself while the tank was full with 25gal of fuel. A floor jack and/or a buddy makes the job go quickly. Make sure to have the fuel line disconnect tool on hand.

EDIT: Not sure what year your setup is. I am referring to my '99.
