A/C Compressor Wire for EFANs

Ok, I'm an idiot. Where is the wire on the 5.4L for the A/C Compressor. I need to splice into it so the fan comes on with the AC. I can't get the PD Box out so forget that.

I did this on my V6 a few years ago, but I can't remember where I spliced into it. Can someone pinpoint me where I need to splice? Pics would be great!!!

Thanks.

It plugs into the top/side of the compressor on mine. Two wires, mine was the black with yellow stripe for power

Oh. That would be a belt driven accessory. Locations tend to vary by car. Mine is on the passengers side bottom near the crank. Have someone else with you, while the car is running, turn on the ac and you'll see the clutch on the ac compressor engauge and thats your chicken

I tapped into the compressor line in the PD box on the bottom side. Don't have my booklet handy but 1 line that got tapped was light grey with white stripe the other was purple with a stripe? Sounds familiar anyone?

That's the other thing....I can't get my PD box off. How the hell do you flip it over.

Anyway. I think I found the A/C compressor and the wire going to it, but how the hell do you get down there to splice it??!!

Thats where the fun starts!!!

I kinda climbed in, used a knife to splice off the loom, and then the little line splice connector that taps into both lines. It was, to say the least, a pain in the azzzzzzzzz

Good luck

It's a PITFA to get that PD box off the first time. IIRC you pull out on the tabs (metal) and pull up on the box. It DOES come off.
