k&n air filter question?

will the K&N drop in filter make the IAC go bad or get dusty and dirty up the throttle body?

im thinking that going back to the AC Delco A1618C air filter is best.

truck wants to die at stops. going to install spark plugs and IAC and clean the throttle body. truck has about 117k miles

i have been using K@N filters on alot of difrent vehicles for years in all from rice burners to my offroad rigs and i have never had a problem with dust and dirt getting by the filter if it is properly oiled this is even after long trail rides in the desert sucking dust the entire time, the key is properly oiling it, good luck

One thing people seem to forget is the fuel filter. It can get plugged up and prevent fuel from reching it's destination in a timely manner. I think K&N would be the last of your concerns. Congrats that you are over the 100,000 mile mark. You should get your truck a spa treatment for her dedication. All oils, filters, plugs, belts; it seems only fair. Check the search feature on K&N it has been asked many times. Good luck.
