left and right bank

left and right bank

which side of the motor is bank 1 and which is bank 2. I've not been able to find for sure ,some suggested 1 is on left,2 on right just like reading a book.Help appreciated

Passenger's side is bank 1, driver's side is bank 2. Bassackwards of a Chebby. Cylinders are numbered 1-2-3-4 on the passenger's side and 5-6-7-8 on the driver's.
