Name that (fuel) hose..
My 2002 F150 4.6L V8 has a fuel hose that I believe needs replacement. It's located above the actual engine, with one end going someplace under the plastic 'TRITON 4.6' cover and the other hooking up to a plastic green part next to the firewall on the driver's side. The hose itself says "GASFUEL" and something else. What's this hose actually called if I wanna go to the store and buy a replacement? Do you know its size (diameter)?

Sounds like it goes to the vapor management valve...can you snap a picture?

Are you refering to the one with the yellow printing on it?

Anyways, I think that's the hose that vents from the VMV to the intake manifold. I'll be sure to put your needs before everyone elses when I go to work tomorrow and find out for sure, just as everyone who's read this thread should have. Sorry for the inconvenience. Honest. Some people... |

It is only vapor recovery. There is no liquid fuel in that line. Regular old vacuum hose of the correct diameter will work like a charm......
