What is better?
If you're are referring to an oil bath air filter vs. the dry type, I haven't seen an oil bath type since I owned a 9N Ford tractor (1939 to 1948 vintage). I'm not sure if they are any more effective that the dry type.
I read some stats from tests done on oil-coated filters like K&N etc and dry paper filters like Fram etc and the dry filters were more effective by various small percentages. If you get any oil on your MAF sensor it slowly starts to function incorrectly and you lose any small gain do to better air flow from the K&N etc to a fouled MAF sensor and you can't even tell unless you make the extra effort to clean the MAF.

true flow has the best filtering and high flowing filters...
