Good or Bad. Was thinking about putting some in my 04 f150 screw..... Anything I should be worned about before I just it?

 

Your 04 doesn't need any snake oil...

 

Snake oil or true cleaner... Its not like Im adding MMO or anything....

 

dont worry about anything. just pull your break booster line off and let it suck it in there there. after it stalls the truck let it sit for like 20-30 minutes start it up take it out for a spin and let it smoke!

you honstly shouldnt need to do it yet but its not gunna hurt anything

True, but you will need to get new O2 sensors or pull the ones you have because you are removing carbon from the engine, it will gunk up the sensors down stream. it did it to mine and had to replace, at about $60 a pop it gets expensive...

 

Seafoam is pale oil ( a non-detergent light oil -20w prox) and alcohol. Do not put it in a hot engine unless you want to replace cracked pistons. I would suggest a better and safer alternative- Berrymans B-12. It will also clean the injectors as well as carbon deposits and you don't have to worry about breaking things. Generally, the Triton engines burn exceptionally clean and carbon deposits are not a factor.

 

Anyone use BG44K? you add it to the fuel, in my experience it works great and only costs about $20 dollars a can. I used it in my Mustang and Bronco and it seemed to improve sluggish performance and MPG after using it.

I've got 149,000 miles on my 1997 5.4 and have never ran anything thru it except either Shell or Chevron gas (76 when I can't find the other two) thru it..... No pings, no miss, no hesitation ever.... I do tow a TT from time to time, so that allows me to open it up every now and then and make it actually work..... Maybe that helps "blow out the carbon" as I usually tow in third gear and let the engine rev when it needs too....
