Gatorback belt

I am wondering if my stock surpentine belt should be replaced with the Gatorback belt from Troyer Performance? I am reading that there is belt slippage with the XCAL2 tunes. Sharper transmission shifting causing it... Thanks,

firm shifting in the transmission is no drastic enough to cause the stock belt to slip... gatorback belts are great for lightnings because roots blowers have so much paracitic drag on them. but stick to your stock belt if it works.

a *new* stock belt will work for a while, but eventually with any quality tune, the firmer shifts will cause a slight shirp on the 1-2 upshift since the engine slows down so quickly. A new gatorback will solve that problem. It doesn't significantly affect anything, it's just an annoyance to most people.
