I pulled my truck into the driveway, washed it, then went to start it to move it into the backyard. All I got when I went to start it is a "click" and the interior lights go out and a couple of the dash lights go out. I think the lights going out is a normal occurance when starting the truck. Anyway, the click came from the starter relay/solenoid on the firewall. I replaced that and nothing changed. My battery seems fine. I even put a battery in there from my work truck and it made the same "click". Maybe a starter issue? What can I do to confirm if it is the starter or not?

check your ground cable to the BLOCK

same problem on my 97 the wires going to the starter (at the starter) needed cleaning off just a bit.
