I have the AIRAID and I like it. And I feel it has given better throttle response. Also note that a high flowing filter may allow more debris or dust into the engine which can affect you in the long run.If you can afford it and want one do it. Don't do it because you think you will get the tremendous claims made by the company or that you're going to shave 2 sec off your 1/4 mile times. Opinions are like A$$-H0/3s everybody has one. Everyone can argue all day about the pro's and con's and you would still do what you want to do with your truck. good luck

If you are going to buy one name brand would be the way to go. Stay away from shiny aluminum housings due to heat transfer and absorption. I don't endorse k&n, Airaid, Airforce one or any brand so get the one you like. You will pay more than ebay but in my opinion you will be getting a better quality product than someones underwear on a cone.

k&n filter

All I did was put an K&N filter in my stock intake system and called it good.
it breaths better and only cost me just the filter and I can find K&N fislters anywere.

also I have a hypertech programmer, 3" exhaust all the way out with a V-FORCE muff. in my 98 F150 4.6 ltr 4x4
