A Good Oil Filter ?????????

as being my first posting , please excuse my writing skills !!!!!!!! i am trying to source a oil filter for my 98' f150 4.6 stx model everyone i've come up with has been a short filter (FRAM PH-2) and i am looking for a longer filter for more filtration area, and i have the room for the extra length if anyone has any sugestions please let me know...... also this is a great site for information,, ideas,,pics,, thanks in advance Gary M

You can look into a Fram PH-8A (or equivalent), this is a standard size for Ford engines going back to the '60's. You can use almost any filter just pay attention to the position of the gasket and the thread size.

Motorcraft FL820S buy at Wal Mart for the best price.

Just use the motorcraft FL-820S's, its one of the best filters out there.

I don't have the number but since buying my truck last year I've been picking up my oil filters at NAPA. They are made for NAPA by Wix and cost about $6 each.

Almost any filter is better than Fram. Motorcraft, Purolator Pure One, Mobil 1, K&N, this is my choices and how I would rate them.
