Vacuum Line Removal

I currently have a 1985 Ford Bronco with a 351 HO and a 4 Barrel carb with california emissions. I have replaced the carb with an Edelbrock 1406 and removed most of the vacuum lines except the vacuum advance, brake, heater control and cruise control. All other vac lines have been removed. Having problems getting the engine to run after changes have been made. Engine runs almost like the timing is off. What did I remove that I should not have removed? I have done this operation with other vehicles without problems, has anyone else had a problem like this? Help appreciated...

Found Fix

Hey for all those interested...We found that finding the right hole is important! Vacuum was not the problem, we had the fuel going into the pcv port rather then the float bowl! It was an assumption rather then an educated connection. Well, after filling the engine with gasoline and lighting the engine on fire, we figured out our problem....don't we feel smart tonight. Now after having a few beers and chatting about the festivities, we are smiling again...I have blisters on my hands from the flames and a laughter in the air from our stupidity! Live and learn! I hope that you might find some education from our ignorance.
