Is there anyway to decode the engine label from the valve cover? I just got a replacement 4.6L (couldn't spring for the 5.4L) and was trying to figure out where its from. The ID reads: 7G840AA. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are you sure? Where do you go to decode the label? I'm only asking because there is what looks like a build date on the label of 10/13/98?
