MAS Relocation...

I have a simple question reagarding relocating my MAS. My friend, a mechanic and I were discussing the MAS on my truck and I inquired whether it would be a more accurate reading if it measured the air flow and temp right before the throttle body and after the aftercooler. He thought it would be better. I am curious, all I need to move is the little chip with the small sensor connected to it correct? Can I just drill a hole in the intake pipe and set the piece in there without using the MAS housing? I don't think I can fit a hose coupler to one side of the MAS where the cone filter would normally be without and boost leaks. Will this relocation help my truck whatsoever? I know of guys with turbo cars running MAS that relocate them after the turbo and realize significant improvement with their cars.

Thanks
