Outside temp and cruise control switch...related?

I pulled the connector off of the cruise control disengage switch until i can get it to ford for the recall. Its a 2002 F-150, FX4, SuperCrew. It is my wife's and she said that the temp gauge is very slow to respond and is about 10 degree's off. Its reading 77 degs and its 88 outside. Are the two things related somehow because it just started and i just pulled the ocnnector last night????

Thanks

I don't think so, I have had my cruise disconnected now since a few weeks after the original recall and my outside temp. gauge is reading just fine.

The temp gauge sensor is under the radiator shroud. It's about a $15 part. Easy change.

The circuits are completely unrelated to each other.

Your failure is a coincidence.

However, wives being what they are, your's will still blame you.
