4.6L cutting out at full throttle ?

4.6L cutting out at full throttle ?

Can a fuel pump cut out at full throttle but still work great at under medium load just fine. i replaced the fuel filter and still there when i get on it hard. You can feel it buck in and out. Has 115K on the motor.1999 F150 Same wires,coils,ect.

Sounds like you need to change plugs and wires first. Could be the filter on the fuel pump.

I would definitly change the plugs and wires, I bet that will fix it in a jiffy, they are waaaayyyyyy over due. Hope it works out for you

On FI engines, missing at WOT usually cannot be a fuel pump stoppage because the result is not 'instant' fuel loss because the pressure dosn't drop to zero instantly.
More likley plugs, wires, coil packs that will instantly cause a missfire when they have a fault.
