edelbrock intake manifold
edelbrock intake manifold
anybody used an Edelbrock Performer 5.0 EFI Truck Intake Manifold on their truck? edelbrock has informed me that they arein very high demand, and are nationally backordered. anyone run one, want to know how they like it
What are you referring to the upper plenum or the lower half?
The lower truck half has the larger rectangle shaped intake ports since 1985. These lowers are all over the yards.
These engines are speed density control and have shorter cam timing.
Putting an Edelbrock upper half on is a waste as far as performance on these engines.
The cam signs off at about 4500 rpm well below where the intake improvement would begin to take place.
The computer control is batch fire so you would need to convert to Mass Air SEFI and put a better cam in to get the benifit of just the intake.
Not worth the expense IMO unless you have some other goal.
