I know the newer trucks (04+) definitely have a lot of fuel system/injector sound ... it's kind of a loud, metered ticking sound. It's the fuel injectors or the metering of the fuel itself, and that is "normal". It almost sounds "bad" if you're not used to it, but all the new trucks have it.

You should not be able to hear the injectors clicking. About the only way you can hear them is with a stethoscope, or a screw driver (put the metal part on the injector and put the plastic handle to your ear-poor mans stethoscope)

But Id say you definatley should not be able to hear the injectors opening and closing, especially over all the other engine noise.

Id look for some other problems.

I am going to say it is the injectors also. I hear mine. Unless it gets louder or faster as you rev the engine, I wouldn't worry about.
