Spark Plug part number confusion
Hi,
I've done several searches and I'm confused over Motorcraft spark numbering for my 2001 F150 4.6. My manual shows AWSF32EE or AWSF32PP. Supposedly, they changed the numbering to either AGSF32PM, PM4, or FM. All I want is the new number for the double platinum replacement. Thanks.

I have done many searches. Some of the responses indicate the AGSF32 with the "FM" suffix, some with the "PM" suffix. Others have asked the question as to whether the FM or PM plugs are double platinum with no answer. Given the spark plug blow out problem, I don't want to take any chances with Autolites or any other non-orignial equipment plug.
If you look in your owners manual you will find the correct motorcraft number. If you don't have a manual then you can download one for free here.

His owner's manual is likely out of date for the spark plugs.
Current Ford-recommended service replacement part numbers can be looked up at www.motorcraft.com
The newer fine wire plugs are sinlge plats. However, their design eliminates the need for platinum on both electrodes, including on waste spark systems.

I was seeking out MotorCraft, but my Uncle's Auto Parts store carries Autolite. I will just get Autolite if they are the same.
Thanks for any help
